Dr. Tom Panos was born and raised in the Chicagoland area. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. He received his Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University School of Optometry in 2002.
Dr. Panos is Board Certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease. He has also traveled on international missions providing eye care to under served populations. Dr. Panos practices primary care optometry which includes contact lenses, pediatrics, and treatment of eye diseases and eye emergencies. |
His goal is to provide the highest quality, comprehensive eye care through the diagnosis and management of visual diseases in a professional and fashionable eye wear environment.
Dr Panos resides in LaGrange with his wife and three children. His interests include traveling, trying new restaurants, and is an avid sports fan.

Dr. Regina Schwan, O.D., TPA, DPA Cert.

Dr. Regina Schwan was born and raised in the Kansas City area and received her Bachelor of Science in Genetics from the University of Kansas. She went on to receive her doctorate in Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry, graduating in 2005. Dr. Schwan is board certified in the treatment of ocular diseases. She was trained at the Illinois Eye Institute managing various ocular diseases.
Dr. Schwan has been practicing in primary care optometry alongside Dr. Panos here at Glen Ellyn Family Eye Care since the beginning of 2024. She previously worked as a corneal specialist for 10 years co-managing Lasik, PRK, ICL and IOL surgery. She also did a small stint at the Chicago Lighthouse for the blind where she co-managed rare ocular disease cases. |
Dr. Schwan resides in Glen Ellyn with her husband, 5 kids and a large loveable dog named Moose. She also loves to travel and spends any free time hiking and skiing in the mountains.
Her goal is to provide comprehensive vision and eye health exams while maintaining a professional yet warm and comforting environment.
